Your Relationship With Your Clients

Finding, serving and keeping your clients takes time and effort, and at the beginning, it might also take some money, in the for of advertisement, to

let people know that your service is in business. So, building a solid and friendly relationship with your clients is extremely important for the longevity and

expansion of your business. A happy client could bring in not only steady business, but the word of mouth of a satisfied customer is the best kind of

promotion your service can possibly have! When you start your relationship with a client, try to make the best possible first impression, be a consummate

professional, but do not forget to be warm, approachable and caring.

Make your client feel like they are very important to you and to your service. Accommodate their needs, adjusting to the necessary specifications of their

particular business, but be firm about your hours and the amount of time it will take for you to deliver the services they have hired you to deliver.

Maintain at all times a professional demeanor and surround your service with all that is necessary for you to be taken seriously.

Polish as much as possible your company image.

Learn to present yourself and your services and the benefits your services provide to your client's business in a precise but enthusiastic manner.

If your client asks you for an opinion, do not give them a diplomatic run-around, be honest but polite always.

Learn the ins and outs of your business. If you are thorough and well-versed in what it takes to be a professional Virtual Assistant, your clients

will trust you and listen to you, because you know what you're talking about.

Deliver your work on time. Do not offer lame excuses for not coming through when a client is expecting you to provide the service they paid for.

Furnish them with as much information as is necessary on your end so there will not be any misunderstandings.

Have a mission statement.

A vision for your service. Write down goals for you to aim at.

Create a business plan and make sure that you keep going over it from time to time, to make sure you're on the right track and that you are

developing and carving for yourself a place in a niche that you can successfully claim and sell as your professional specialty.

Get to know your clients and their particular business. Become acquainted with their struggles and try to find ways to be able to help them.

That is why having a client bio sheet in your files is absolutely necessary. At the end of this eBook, I will give you a link to where you can

get printable Client Bio Sheets, that you can duplicate by any time you need them and fill out to have a specific and special file on every

one of your clients which will help you address even better their particular pains and to be able to offer them the service that they need,

Listen to your client's needs and the needs of their business, and honestly strive to find ways to meet those needs.

Follow the 80/20 rule of communication. Listen to your client with sincere interest 80%  of the time, and talk 20% of the time.

You will be surprised at how much your clients will trust you and what you can learn about them.

Prepare yourself well to be able to serve your clients by acquiring as much knowledge as you can of the particular field your business

niche is in, s that you'll be able to confidently assure your clients (without exaggerating), that you are fully able to help them in that

field, that you have the knowledge and experience that they need and are looking for.

Don't make excuses for lack of knowledge or experience, and never lie to a client.

Even though you will be doing the majority of your work online, try always to display a professional appearance, and make sure that your

workspace reflects your work ethics.

Make sure that all your email correspondence goes out on time, without typos, sounds and looks professional and is short and to the point.

Do not make your client read through a long email to be able to convey a message.

When your email has to deliver an explanation, highlight the points in a concise and clear way, separated by paragraphs and bolded out.

Easy to read and to understand.

Remember that it is a business, not a social relationship.
